GMCS team experts continue implementation of the Corporate Development Project.
During the mission in May a lot of attention was devoted to discussions of future development of Batumi Autotransport, strategic actions to improve service provision and customer care. A strategy discussion workshop for top management of the Company was mediated by the experts, its findings will be deployed in medium-term corporate development plan under preparation.
With support of the Consultant the Company carried out a customer survey to find out what areas of the service could be improved. Two focus groups were carried out, one on vehicles usability in particular for people with disabilities, and the other on travel information and communication measured to provide tourists to Batumi with sufficient pre-trip information and promote use of public transport by guests of the city – that focus group involved representatives of tourist information bureaus that operate in Batumi.
Prompted by discussion during the first focus group in February, Batumi Autotransport has recently launched cooperation with Moovit, a real-time journey planner mobile and web app to navigate public transit networks with GPS navigation to generate schedule and map data for Batumi.
